The Best Practice Guide for ECEC Food Environment is a free national resource, funded by Healthway and delivered by Edith Cowan University, helping early childhood services create healthy food environments for children from birth to five. Zenneo Design turned a large, evidence-based guide into a website any ECEC worker can navigate by their role and use day to day.
The Challenge
Funded by Healthway and delivered by Edith Cowan University, the Best Practice Guide is a free national resource helping early childhood services create healthy food environments for children from birth to five. The challenge was to turn a large, evidence-based guide, six modules and dozens of sections, into a website any ECEC worker could navigate by their role and actually use in everyday practice.
Our Solution
Zenneo Design built a content-rich, highly navigable resource site. Visitors can explore the full guide by module or jump straight to the sections relevant to their role (educators, directors, cooks, family day care, approved providers, allied health and more), search the entire guide, download individual sections or build a custom print pack, and browse 20 real-world case studies, posters and family fact sheets.
The Results
The sector now has a single, accessible national resource that makes evidence-based best practice easy to find, download and apply, supporting better food environments for young children across urban, regional and remote Australia.
